"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Please Reply Urgently

From Mr. Frank Mambo.
Dear Sir,
I am contacting you via email because I am interested in investing close to $30m in your country, which I know you are compitent enough, though I cannot say if this communication is welcomed.
I know you are capable of handling this transaction so I would like you to assist me, but what I do not know is your interest and also with your committment to your job, I do not know if you can afford the time, though it is worthwhile.
First, I am residing in South Africa and I am a banker director here in Johannesburg, South Africa.
If you are certain that you will assist me receive these funds that has been in a suspence account with my bank, which has been floating for quite sometime now, please kindly get back to me. But this approach as you know is directly made to you as I never passed through your company, in other words everything must remain strictly with you.
You should not involve your lawyers, bankers assistance for any reason whatsoever until we are through with the operation here and the funds confirmed in your account, which I will be giving you every detail on the development. And if you are interested as I hope since we need to talk more for our acquiantance, give me a call on the below number immediately.
