"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Consider and Reply Urgently

From Dami Mambo.
Dear Sir,

I am contacting you via email because I am interested in investing $30m in your country, which I want to be have transferred to your account before I meet with you in your country.

I know you are capable of handling this transaction so I would like you to assist me, but what I do not know is your interest and also with your committment to your job, I do not know if you can afford the time, though it is worthwhile.

First, I am residing in South Africa with my family under assylum programme due to some circumstances beyond our control.

If you are certain that you will assist me receive these funds that has been in a a private security firm here in South Africa, which I can give you necessary information on how to reach the company to make the claim as the beneficiary, please kindly get back to me. But this approach as you know is directly made to you as I never passed through your company. In other words everything must remain strictly between you and my source here since we cannot make the claim due to our status here.

You should please try and keep this absolutely to yourself even if you are not interested. We only need your assistance and support to have these funds transferred safely and smoothly to your account.
