"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Hi

please pardon me for write you this may though it may be the first time we are
meeting and kindly listen to my plight,
i am kareem Vetch, the wife of late col. Borris Vetch whom past on during
the Tsunami disaster, before my huband dead he was a militery inteligeny with
the Indinasia government. But while he dead me and my son were completely neglected,
as a result we were help back to Africa with the help of a friend Mrs. Tching Udzie
and ever since life has not being the same. And due to my curiousity to get an assistance
i came accros your address and i felt a strange feeling in me that you could be the one to help us.
my late husband's bank has decided to hand over my husband acrume fixed deposite
fund for me and my son as the beneficiary, but they need me to provide a foreign
