"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dearest,

I do foresee the surprise this letter will bring to you as a stranger,
but please consider this letter as a request from a family in dare need of
assistance .I am MR.JOE WILFRED , the son of MR. KABELO WILFRED , of
Zimbabwe, presently residing in Senegal with my only sister KATE WILFRED . I got
your

contact from the Senegal Information Exchange(S.A.I.E) , I decided to
solicit for your assistance to transfer the sum of ( TEN MILLION, UNITED
STATE DOLLARS) inherited from my late father into your account. My
father was killed during the current war against farmers in Zimbabwe, from
the support of our present President (ROBERT MUGABE) to claim all the
white owned farms to his party members and his followers.
He ordered all white farmers to surrender all their farms to his party
members and followers. My father is one of best farmers in our country
although he is a black man but he didn't support Mug Abe’s ideas. Mug
Abe’s supporters invaded my father's farm and burnt everything in the
farm, killed my father, my two sisters and made away with lots of items
in my father's farm.

My sister and I went out of ZIMBABWE according to my father'
instructions before his death because the fate of our country was yet to be
decided. We came to Senegal with a sealed diplomatic baggage . On arrival in
Senegal, we sought for political asylum. We were not allowed to operate
a bank account. I was so scared and I decided to deposit the money in a
security company. Because I wanted to be on a safer side. I told them
that the baggage belongs to my foreign affiliate who is the sole
beneficiary of the item.

Since then, I have been looking for a reliable and trustworthy person
to help me transfer the money into a foreign account overseas prior to
investment in any conducive country overseas. I got in contact with
someone but he became unnecessary greedy concerning his share in the
transaction; he asked for 30%. Luckily, I ran into your details and decided to
contact you and see if you could be of any help to us.
We intent to share this money ( TEN MILLION, UNITED STATE DOLLARS) as
follows: (1) 2o% of the total sum to you if you assist us in
transferring this money into any of your accounts overseas. (2) 5% of the total
sum will be set aside to offset all bills and expenses incurred in the
process of this transaction.(3) 75% of the total sum will be for the
family’s investment in any country of which you are a guide to us.

Please should this meet your utmost consideration; please contact me on
the above phone number or my e-mail respectively. Include your private
telephone, fax numbers for easier communication. The confidential of
this transaction cannot be over-emphasised as we trust and believe that
you will oblige us th e needed security and attention
it demands, please, treat this transaction with absolute
confidentiality.
Regards,

JOE & KATE WILFRED.
