"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: F or Your kindly Assistance

My Dearest beloveth
My Name is Mrs. Florence Kwashi the wife of late Major
General Sylvester Kwashe who died in the present civil
war in Seriea-Leone. I know this business proposal is
coming to you as a surprise. Although we have never
met before, but I got your contact while I was
searching for a trustworthy partner who will assist me
in claming $32.150m USD for me and my family so I
decided to contact you through your e-mail address in
regard to this deal.
Presently this fund was deposited by my late husband
in a security company abroad in the year 1994 when he
traveled to Europe for an official assignment. He
personally told me that how he deposited this fund for
me and my children in case of sudden death, that we
should claim this fund and invest it into business of
our choice. However due to the present civil war in my
country, rendering me and my children homeless, we
decided to (Asylum) hideout and presently we are in
the refuge camp in Ghana. Infant we are facing a
very hard time in the camp.
Please I want you to assist me as a member of our
family to claim this fund from the security company
abroad. For we have every document which my husband
use in depositing this fund. All I required from you
is co-operation and assistance.
Furthermore if you want to assist me and my children,
kindly forward to me your reply so that I can
explain further procedure to you.
GB: For assisting, I and my children have decided to
give 30% out of the total fund $32.150M USD.
Regards,
Mrs. Florence Kwashi
