"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Hello Dear,

I am an Account Officer with Royal Trust Bank Ltd,My name is Benson Okonkwo,a
Banker I am the personal Account Manager to ENGINEER Allen Johnson ,a National
of your country, who used to work with an Oil servicing Firm in Nigeria,my
client passed on as a result of a heart attack.

After several unsuccessful attempts, I decided to trace his Last name over
the Internet, to locate any member of his family hence I am contacting you
to assist in getting the money and property left behind by my client before
they get confiscated or declared unserviceable by the bank where this huge
deposit was lodged, particularly the Royal Trust Bank Ltd,where the
deceased had an account Valued at about ($9.5 million u s Dollars) has Issued
me a notice to provide the next of kin or have the account confiscated.

Since I have been unsuccessful in locating the relatives for over 2 years
now, I seek your consent to present you as the next of kin of the deceased
