"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: HELP FROM TOGO REPUBLIC

Dear Sir,

I am writing you from the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital,
in Ghana soliciting your assistance for my
breakthrough from my present situation.

My name is Blessing ,24years old, male and a native of
the Republic Of Togo;where my father,DR.Johnson Kojo
was a Minister of Finance between the year 1989 until
untimely and death of our former President Gnassingbe
Eyadema who ruled our nation for almost 37years;who
died on the 5th of February 2005.

My father was a close associate of the late president
in which he had access to many contracts and the
nation's funds.

However, immdiately after the death of President
Eyadema some unknown military men stormed my father's
personal apartment where I and my father including one
male cook called Sam;they tortured my father and later
killed him, while i was beaten seriously until i
sustained fracture in my leg,i started bleeding
uncontrolably and this led the military men to locked
me and Sam who has been beaten beyond recognition into
the toilet.

I want to tell you that it is only GOD that safes, who
saved our lives.we were later taken to the Hospital by
some good samaritans passing by;it was from the
hospital i abscond to the neighbouring country here in
ghana when i got to know that the killers of my father
were also on look out to kill me,beleiving i will give
their faces to the security agents.

It was from my late father's briefcase that i carried
that i saw documents showing my late father deposited
some money amounted to the sum of Twenty-Five Million
US dollars(US$25m) in Barclays Bank Ghana in the year
2004 at the Republic of Ghana and signed my name as
the NEXT OF KIN.

Infact it is a kind of shock to me but i give thanks
to GOD.I discovered recently that my father was
assassinated by his fellow ministers who has swindled
a huge money from the Nation's Treasury after the
death of President Eyadema, they believed my father
will expose them to the incoming Government.

Now here i am in ghana to safe my head,my one leg is
broken,am on crutches;suffering without any good
treatment which i don't suppose to.

I do not have anybody again,my father who always take
care of me is gone,i've lost my mother since i was
Twelve years old through a tragic motor accident.

I am in need of your assistance in order to move from
here,i will need you to be a Foreign Beneficiary to
claim the money on my behalf into your account for
safe-keeping while i shall join you after the
successful transfer of my money.

Please i really need you to ge back to me,i will give
you all the necessary details and documents to back-up
the claim.

Although, you will need to get across to my Late
father's lawyer,Barrister George Mensah Esq,( bgmcghana@yahoo.com) he was aware and witnessed the deposit of the money with my father.
I would be expecting your reply as soon as possible, and
ensure you get to the Lawyer too.

Thank you and waiting your earliest response. Yours
faithfully,Blessing Kojo.
