"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Read more about such scams here or in our 419 FAQ. Use the Scam-O-Matic to verify suspect emails.

Atten: Fund Beneficiary.

My name is Dr. Ola ahmed in the Presidency, Nigeria. and i am writing to
make a request which is left for you to decide.

You are aware that due to the high Capital base requirement imposed on the
whole commercial banks in nigeria by the Central Bank of Nigeria, it has
become difficult for such banks to pay most of their debts.

It is on this strenght that my board was set up in the presidency, so that
we can vet an approve deserved debts to the consignees.

You payment file therefore lies on my table as a result of this, and i have
found a lot of discrepancies in the file which i will be willing to correct
and approve to ensure that you receive your fund if only you will be willing
to give me Five( 5%) percent of the fund as soon as you receive it in your
account.

I propose this to you confidentially, and i believe that you will threat
it so, because if people should know, you may stand the chance of loosing
the fund permanently.

I assure you that with my power as the head of the payment committee here
in the presidency, I will achieve the transfer in your account without any
hitch.

write me if you are willing to part with the five percent as soon as you
receive the fund.

I await your response

Regards

Dr.Ola Ahmed
