"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: From Mrs. Amina Ige.

Dear friend,
May good Lord bless and keep you, I am Mrs. Amina Ige the second wife of late Mr. Bola Ige who was the former minister for justice federal republic of Nigeria and was murdered on the 23rd December, 2001. Before his death,my husband deposited consignment containing $9m (Nine Million United Sates Dollars) with a security company which is presently under their custody.
I contacted you because I needed you as a foreigner whom I will move this consignment to your custody. I am serious of transferring this consignment out of this country for offshore delivery because of some facts and family problems that presently exist.
These facts are:
1.I am not from the same tribe with my late husband and them.
2.I refusal to accept their religion.
3.Because I have only a child, (a female child).
4.Because I was loved and favored by my late husband.
I am absolutely tired of all these threats from my late husband's relatives or kinsmen which started after the death of my husband. The recent development started
after a long family Court actions over sharing of the properties of our late husband's (Mr. Bola Ige). I was totally marginalized in the sharing due to I'm not from their tribe.
Every legal document the security company may request from you before they could
release this consignment under your custody is presently with me. Be informed
that this transfer is risk free. I would not involve myself in any illegal transfer.
I will appreciate to receive your quick reply towards this letter (Offer) so that we shall proceed immediately while you include your full names , current residential address and your personal phone number(s) on your letter to me. Let us join hands together and do this you will not regreat it.
I look forward to receive your reply.
Thanks and God bless,
Mrs. Amina Ige.
