"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Read more about such scams here or in our 419 FAQ. Use the Scam-O-Matic to verify suspect emails.

Subject: hello

I am a young widow living in the UK a little distance from central London,i
have been calling out for help to well meaning individuals/companies.My late
husband was the owner of Bataks Resorts before he died of high blood
pressure(HBP) after he was frauded of cash worth 2.3 million pounds in a
busines transaction. The world is really wicked.

Now his assets worth millions of pounds is trapped by banks and a few
individuals whom we have not been able to settle yet. From the agrement terms
,I have barely few months(2) to make up the money or loose the assets.I work
to take care of our three kids .I have been paying this money on
installmental basis since 2000.The money left to be paid is little but the
time left is too short for a poor widow to meet up.

I am begging individuals/companies whom are touched by my story to come
to my rescue. And anybody that can assist in providing the remaining part of
the money would be entitled to (25%) of the assets as soon as it is
required.kndly come to my aid.
I would greatly appreciate it if you reply to this mail if you will be
able to assist me. Please help me as i am living from hand to mouth.

Thanks for your time.

Warm regards,
Lisa Johnson
