"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: CONFIDENTIAL ASSISTANCE

Dear sir

I know this may come as a surprise to you mostly as it come from a stranger but I come In good faith based on my instinct and intuition I decided to come to you, my Name is James Garang, I am the son of late Vice President of Sudan Mr John Garang whom died on the 30th July 2005 involved in a plane crash, along side with six of his associates and the seven- member crew of the Mi 72 Ugandan Presidential helicopter also died in the crash, Due to the Bad weather Involved. He was indeed a peace maker in my country.

Being the first son of my late father I was informed by my late father’s lawyer about the properties left for me to inherit in my name, which the lawyer indicated clearly that my late father lodged some amount of money in an account for safe keeping and future investments in my name. I intend using those funds now for private investment in your country because my country is not safe anymore to stay and also invest.

All I require from you is your trust, commitment and assistance, so as to enable us commence adequately, because I intend moving out the total fund out of the location where it is right now to your country for investments through your assistance and arrangement, and also to come along with my family over there to your country for stay and have a good investment started, also get a new lease of life. I promise to reward you greatly once you agree to assist me move these funds out from where it is, to your own country.
