"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: GOOD BUSINESS DEAL

FROM: MR DANOVAN CLINTON
EMAIL: danoclinton@netscape.net
Hello Dear,
How are you today?
I would like you to read this email carefully and see if you can enter into this business deal with me.
I work as the Procurement/Project manager of Chrome Oil field services ( An Oil servicing firm in Bakasi Peninsula).
Some time, this company with name Cosat and company applied for supply jobs in different sectors to Chrome oil company in Bakassi penninsular during the contract ballot that took place there.
Just recently the company won a job supply of 10million us dollars to supply certain allied products to Chrome oil but unforturnately the company has folded up since the director died in the Tsunami disaster that struck Asia and the company could not hold on any more and infact the company no longer exist.
In this supply Job 8Million is paid upfront and then remaining 2million usd is paid after the supply is made.
Forturnately for me, Chrome Oil Services have no time for this supply Job and wants the supply to be made as soon as possible so they decided to contract another firm through my office so as to execute the supply Job.
I have already concluded meeting with the company that will do the supply job but I need another foreign company in the business to protect the interest of my office.
I came across your profile and found it very convinient and would want you to protect the interest of my office by standing as the main beneficiary of the contract and also the recipient of the cash payout.
I want to do this business with you as a neutral person you are in the deal and because you would not have any direct contact with my company ( Chrome Oil Services) and I also do not want to involve the company doing the main supply in any kind of deal.
All you need to do is to recieve the cash and the main supply will be done by the company I have already contracted for the job.
When you recieve the 8million usd, you will forward 3million usd to the company doing the supply. The company doing the supply is a europe based company and the remaining 5million will be kept aside for us.
The company I contracted will execute this job at 5million usd and they will get 3million usd from the innitial 8million usd that will be paid upfront and the remaing 5million usd will be our own share of the deal and as a fair business man I believe in fair deal.
The company making the supply will afterwards get their balance of 2million usd after they must have concluded the Job.
Consider this deal and get back to me if it interests you
You dont have to worry about the workability because if it wouldnt work, then I will not be contacting you in the first place.
Best regards
Mr. Danovan Clinton
