"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: I WISH TO SEEK FOR YOUR CONSENT.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thanks for your concern to my proposal. I am Dr .Philip Makinde the linkman between the Organization For Petroleum Exporting Countries - OPEC and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corperation NNPC. I also attend OPEC meetings constantly in Geneva Switzerland on the auspices of World Bank.

Through the sale of our allocated oil quota in OPEC, I was able to makeS$22.2million, which is currently deposited in a Security Company abroad. I want you to assist me to claim this money as i cannot claim it directly because i am still a Civil servant in active service, and the code of conduct bureau forbids me to acquire such huge amount of money.

It is on this basis that i am contacting you for assistance, If You will be interested, and all claim documents will be processed, and sent to you.
