"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

From: Miss Lisa Mandela <miss_lisaq@yahoo.co.uk>
Date: Thu, 15 Sep 2005 11:02:24 +0100 (BST)
Subject: Good-Day


Sir,

I am Mss Lisa Mandela,the Daughter of former South African
President.

I have in my possession the sum of fifteen million united
state Dollars{$15,000.000.00}. And the top list of my
priority is where to invest this money
outside my country, reasons best known to me,


I urgently need your assistance in providing a liable
genuine trade or company where I can invest the funds and
immediately meet you in your country for settlement.

Please I will kindly welcome your advice too.I am expecting
your urgent reponse. I need your support and TRUST. I have
resigned my appointment in the state ministry because of
the investment.

The $15MUSD is out of South African and presentely
deposited in a security company.

Details will be given to you as soon as you reply this mail
including your personal phone number.
