"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: GOOD DAY

Dear Sir,
Compliments of the day,I will start by introducing my humbleself as the newly appointed chairman of the contract award commitee of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation,(N.N.P.C) and in request on how we came about your contact was as a result of my deep search through the internet for a foreign furniture company that will take up the contract of furnishing our multibillion Dollars top staff estate situated at Victoria Island Lagos Nigeria.
I and other members of the above mentioned Governmental firm has decided to select two out of the foreign furniture company's that has filed in an application for contract with us,they will be requested to produce present and past project of their company's for us to see, and after you will be given a form to fill all necessary information needed by us to know if your company is capable to carry out the contract given to them by our company.
For your information,your company's name will be registered under our company as a bonified and legal contractor,which will make us not to transact any furnishing contract we have in our company with another foreign furnishing firm,and after your company is given the chance to carry out the contract you will be given a 50% mobilisation fee of the total contract sum.
Please note this,whereby you are not a furniture maker,but you have a reliable furniture company that can take up this contract please do not hesitate to contact us immediately because,we are at the peak of executing the contract.
