"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Good day Dear partner,
I am mr scott davison the auditor general first national bank, johanesburg south africa. i am writing this letter to ask for your assitance and full cooperation to carry out this business opportunity in my department with you.
On auditting of all foregin accounts in our bank, i discovered an abandoned sum of $50musd (Fifty million united states dollars only) in an account that belongs to one of our foreign customer Mr. Donald Heck, who lived at chestertown, mary land in USA. On futher investigation i found out, that he died in the egyptian air flight 990, on 31,october 1999 in a plane crash along with his entire family of a wife and two children and since we heard of his death we have been expecting his next of kin to come over and put claims for his money as the heir, because we cannot release the fund from his account unless someone applies for claim as the next-of-kin to the deceased as indicated in our banking guidelines. Unfortunately, neither their family member nor distantrelative has ever appeared to claim the said fund. For more details view this site below: www.greatdreams.com/plane990.htm
As the manager of this branch of the bank, where the fund is currently been deposited. I have agreed to become a trusted business partner with you and use my possition in the bank to release and transfer the fund into your foreign bank account as the beneficiary of the fund since no one came to claim it or discovered that the late Mr. Donald Heck operate an account with our bank, otherwise the fund will be returned into the South African governments treasury as unclaimed fund after the expiration of 6 years. I have agreed that our ratio of sharing will be; 35 % for you as my foreign partner, 60 % for me and 5% for the settlement of all local and foreign expences to be incurred by both parties during the course of this deal.
Upon the successful completion of this transfer, i and my family will come to your country and mind my share. It is from our 60 % we intend to import agricultural machineries into my country as a way of recycling the fund. To commence this transaction, i require you to immediately indicate your interest by sending me a return e-mail and enclose your private mobile telephone number and fax numbers, i will send to you by fax, an application letter for claim which you will fill and send to the treasury department of our bank for necessary approvals on your name as the legitimate heir to inherrite the fund before the final release and transfer of the fund into your bank account can be authorised by our bank.
Be informed that, this transaction will be done legally, 100% risk free, and it shall be kept strictly and highly confidential from any third party. I look forward to receiving your prompt response soonest. Thanks.
warmest regards,
Mr Scott Davison.
