"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Lucrative supply of cattle medicine with you.

Dearest Friend,

Good Morning.

You might be surprise to receive this letter from me,
considering the fact that you do not know me but i know
that this letter might not come to you as a surprise
either, since your organization is so well advertised.

First i must seek for your kindest understanding and with
hope that you will have the wisdom to understand this
matter and be in a position to help and assist.

But before i go on,i want to sincerely apologize for
disturbing you as this letter might be termed unsolicited
by you since its being written to you without your prior
consent.

However,I am writing based on the prevailing information I
gathered about your company in the line of my job.I,for
this reason, have confidence that you are able to execute
this business with me to our mutual benefit.I am also of
the believe that you will not let down the trust and
confidence that I am here prepared to repose on you.

I work with a Public Relations company "ASSOCIATED
CORPORATE SOLUTION" based in ACCRA-GHANA,as the company's
Corporate Affairs manager.Between the 14th.-16th. of May
2004,a business seminar was held at BANJUL,THE GAMBIA
which I attended.While attending the seminar,I was
opportune to meet Macknight Fordjour-Danquah,the President
of Vonberg Farms.

Macknight Fordjour-Danquah is an accomplished and widely
known millionaire farmer from this part of the world. He is
an accomplished agriculturalist who specialized in cattle
farming and other diary products for export with farms in
several other parts of the West African Sub-region.Vonberg
Farms is one of the greatest suppliers of cattle, beef and
other dairy products in Africa.

On getting to know my profession,Macknight Fordjour
Danquah took some interest in me and even felt at liberty
to speak out to me on certain issues within my area of
work.Infact he took me into confidence.

He went on to relate to me the huge sums of money he
spends on the purchase of a certain, but very important
medicine for his cattle. He informed me that he spent
about Euros 5,000 for the purchase of one carton of the
medicine and that he often requires about 200 cartons for
each purchase.

He informed me that he was only asking me to find out if
my organization could source out for him a cheaper
supplier considering the recent trend of events in the
world market which is affecting his business.

Back in my office, I discussed the business proposal with
my Director and he decided to handle the supply by
himself. We carried out market research and discovered
that we could purchase the cattle medicine cheaper in
Europe for Euros 2,000.per carton.

We then made a proposal to Vonberg Farms to make the
supply to them at Euros 4,800.per carton, which they
happily accepted. Owing to my role in the whole
arrangement,I had an initial agreement with my director to
receive 15% of whatever profit that accrues from each
supply.

But on the 22nd of July 2004, when the first supply of 120
cartons were made to Vonberg Farms, my director decided to
renegade on our agreement. He refused to give me anything
near to what we had agreed, he only gave me what he called
a token of appreciation.

When I protested this, he threatened to dismiss me from
work,saying afterall that i am a woman.I decided to
overlook this betrayal of confidence, but after then our
relationship ceased to be cordial. He never said anything
to me about further supplies to Vonberg Farms and I thus
assumed that the business relationship had discontinued.

But towards the end of last month,I intercepted mails from
Vonberg Farms to my director.I was shocked to discover
that he had since made three further supplies to Vonberg
Farms which I knew nothing about. I considered this very
unfair of my director.Moreso,Vonberg Farms was then
requesting for another supply of 450 cartons of this
medicine following a suspected outbreak of disease among
their cattle in Mali.

They requested that the medicine be supplied as soon as
possible. The letters have not up till date reached my
director, and they never will.Instead I called Vonberg
Farms and convinced them that I will arrange for the
supply of the medicine at the price of Euros 4,400. per
carton. At the moment Vonberg Farms is waiting for me or
my foreign contact as they have agreed to stop all further
dealings with my director.

Vonberg Farms will pay 50% upfront mobilization fee for
the supply before the supply commences. If you can handle
this supply, please contact me immediately for further
details on how to go about it and negotiations on what is
to be my commission.

Note: Vonberg Farms must never know that our purchase
source is Europe. If not, they will not be in need of our
services anymore.
