"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

CHAIRMAN, DEBT RECONCILIATION COMMITTEE

ATTN: CONTRACT BENEFICIARY

SUBJECT: HURRY UP AND STOP SPENDING YOUR MONEY. THIS IS AN INTRODUCTION OF
DEDUCTION APPLICATION FORM /YOUR CONTRACT PAYMENT ADVICE.

I am honorable DR. USMAN ALI ; I occupy the position of a Finance Director
and the Chairman Debt Reconciliation Committee, Office of the Presidency. I
have being directed by His Excellency, the President of the Federal Republic
of Nigeria Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, GCON, to bring to your notice that this
Government understands your plight, the disappointment you have suffered in
the past to get your contract fund paid to you. Due to what we described as
selective payment and incessant demand of excessive fee by some unscrupulous
and corrupt erstwhile officials in charge of Foreign Contract payment in the
past.

In view of the determination and commitment of this New Government to ensure
that every outstanding contract debts are settled, but to our greatest
dismay, despite all the effort made last year to ensure that most
contractors receive their payment, record still show that a lot of
contractors did not receive their payment due to their inability to settle
some outstanding up-front obligation to the Federal Government.

Based on this, the President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has approved the sum
of US$1.8Billion Dollars in this year’s budget for the settlement of these
outstanding debts and also announced the Introduction of Deduction
Application Form and made it mandatory that any contractor that is unable to
settle up-front Charges, Taxes, fee or levies arising from his or her
contract payment. The Deduction Application Form will be issued to you for
your signing. As soon as you fill/sign on the Form and retune it backs to
the Computer Telex Dept (Central Bank of Nigeria), which is only the paying
bank to enable them to deduct all government charges from his or her total
contract sum and the balance will be released to the contractor’s bank
nominated account within 48 banking hours on receipt of the Application
Form. You are advised to contact MR.AUDU MOHAMMED, (the Director Computer
Telex Dept) CBN, On Tel: 234-803 9250012, EMAIL(mr_ah_mo_cb@o2.pl) for the
immediate release of your Overdue Contract payment. And also he would send
you the Deduction Application Form immediately. As soon as you signed on the
Form and return it back to him, automatically your payment will hit your
account immediately.

However, we wish to inform you that you have been short-listed among the
contractors that will benefit from the US$1.8 Billion Dollars approved by
the president, all you need to do is to obtain a Deduction Application Form
to enable the Telex Room (CBN) deduct government charges from your total
contact sum. After which, we shall inform you how much is deducted from your
total contract sum and why such fees are deducted and the balance will be
released to your account within 48 banking hours.

Yours Faithfully,

DR. USMAN ALI

CHAIRMAN, DEBT RECONCILIATION COMMITTEE (DRC)

FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA.
