"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Hello dear.
A foreigner, late Engr. Mohamed Kamal Yasser, an Oil
Merchant, until his death some years ago, banked with
us here at Union Bank Plc. Lagos, and had a losing
balance of (Eight Million five hundred United States
Dollars) which the bank now unquestionably expects to
be claimed by any of his available foreign next of kin
or alternatively be donated to a discredited trust
fund for arms and ammunition at a military war college
here in Nigeria.

Fervent valuable efforts are being made by the Union
Bank Plc to get in touch with any of the late. Engr.
Mohamed Kamal Yasser`s family or relatives but all

children) that the management under the influence of
our Chairman, board of directors, so that an
arrangement for the fund to be declared UNCLAIMABLE"
and then be subsequently donated to the Trust Fund for
Arms and Ammunition which will further enhance the
course of war in Africa and the world in general.
In order to avert this negative development, myself
and some of my trusted colleagues in the bank now seek
for your permission to have you stand as late Engr.
Mohamed Kamal Yasser`s next of kin so that the fund,
Eight Million five hundred United States Dollars would
be subsequently transferred and paid to you as the
beneficial next of kin.
