"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Address:# 59 chapil hill
takrodi Ghana.

Dear Sir,
I am sending you this confidential email to make a passionate appeal to you
for assistance. I got to know of you through my search,in the internet, for a
credible investor that will be of assistance to my family. In the light of
this I am MR.Martin Asamoah,a branch Manager of International
Commercial Bank of Accra Ghana.I have urgent and very confidential business
proposition for you.

On June 6, 1999, a Foreign Gold mining/contractor with the Ghana National
Gold Corporation, Mr. Barry Kelly made a numbered time (Fixed)Deposit for
twelve calendar months, valued at US$26,000,000.00 ( Twenty-six Million
Dollars only) in my branch.

Upon maturity, I sent a routine notification to his forwarding address but
got no reply. After a month, we sent a reminder and finally we discovered
from his contract employers, the Ghana National Gold Corporation that Mr.
Barry Kelly died from an automobile accident.

On further investigation, I found out that he died without making a WILL,
and all attempts to trace his next of kin was fruitless. I therefore made
further investigation and discovered that Mr. Barry Kelly did not declare
any kin or relations in all his official documents, including his Bank
Deposit paperwork in my Bank. This sum of US$26,000,000.00 has carefully
been monitored till date since no one has come forward to claim it.

According to Ghana Law, at the expiration of 5 (five) years, the money will
revert to the ownership of the Ghana Government if nobody applies to claim
the fund.Consequently, my proposal is that I will like you as an Foreigner
to stand in as the next of kin/owner of the money deposited in my bank by
this said Mr. Barry Kelly. I am writing you because I as a public servant
can not operate a foreign account or have an account that is more than $1m.
If you are interested and capable to handle this fund kindly call me on
phone so we talk more about this, or you can reply immediately via my
private email upon your response, I shall then provide you with more details
and relevant documents that will help you understand the transaction.

I have arranged and agreed with my mother that 30% of the total sum will be
for you for your kind asistance, while 5% of the total sum have been
earmarked for expenses that might be incured both local and international in
the course of the whole of the transaction, including calls made either by
you or both.

But please note that this request is contingent on your undertaking that you
shall make the fund available to me on demand as a primary condition prior
to the commencement of this transaction.
Please observe with utmost confidentiality, and be rest assured that this
transaction would be most profitable for both of us because I shall require
your assistance to invest my share in your country.

Please keep me posted via email as I will be looking forward to your
favourable response.Thanks and regards,

MR.Martin Asamoah.

{I.C.B MANAGER} TAME BREANCH.}
