"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

INTERNATIONAL HIGHWAYS CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTS(IHCC)
REPUBLIQUE DU TOGO

Dear sir,

I write to you in the capacity of this body set up by the late President of
the Republique du Togo Gnassigbe Eyadema,Who died on the 5th of February
this year after having ruled for 38 years, coincidentally I am his younger
cousin and a relation of Faure his son who took over the reigns from where
the late President stopped despite our opposition as a family, since it was
unconstitutional.
This position was equally echoed by the American, British government as
well as the European Union and with mounting pressure from the African
Union,he was forced to relinquish power, though now he is bidding to return
through the just concluded elections that has met with widespread violence
leaving a lot of protesters dead.
We are saddled with the disrepute of our family longstay in Power 38 years
and now he Failure is planning to return ,we dont own this country, let allow
another group or family rule in order to reduce the family resentment, this
is our position as a family but Faure will have none of that,he is so
blinded by the lure of office to allow simple reason to prevail.
Hence I have decided to resettle my family and I abroad to avoid any
unwholesome development in the nearest future,my reason of writing to you is
informed by this fact, for you to assist me in resettling and presenting
yourself as one of our contractors in the bridge and road construction
business who we owe the sum of GBP 17million.This I have earmarked to be
paid to you and to which we will discuss the percentage for you and a good
percentage for the purchase of our property and a major part of this will
also be used to buy ocean going vessels for lifting of crude oil which is
very viable and your understanding of this aspect of business will be very
vital too.
I must remain at the background of this transaction and will press for the
funds to be approved and released in your name in record time,in doing this
we will require a written application through this body for payment to be
made to you through our corresponding bank.
I solicit your assistance in total confidentiality and ask it be treated as
such.
Finally,I ask that for the integrity and transparency we will need an
agreement and will equally request that we set up a meeting.I do further
explain that I am not a rich man but I have this opportunity which I do
intend to utilise to the fullest for the sake of my family and to avoid the
wrath of my brother who now see us as enemies to his power drive.

Many Thanks,

Adure Gnasigbe.
