"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

national of your country who used to work with [AGULF International]a
Shipping Company in Abuja. Herein, after shall be referred to as my client.
On the 24th of june 1999, my client, his wife and their Child/son,were
involved in a car accident along korayua,express-road. All occupants of the
vehicle unfortunately lost their lives.Till date,I have made several media
publications and inquiries to your embassy to locate any of my late clients
extended relatives but all have yielded no positive contact.

NOTE: Following a summon from Union bank Of Africa,where the deceased had
an account valued at about $12.2million dollars.The bank has issued my firm
a notice to contact/provide a family member to stand as next of kin to the
account deposit or have it branded unserviceable and confiscated within the
next 14 official working days in accordance with the banking
regulations/acts therein .

Also , GROUP-3 PARTNERSHIP ESTATE MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT,have written a
letter of notification to my firm for the renewal of his property-ownership
certificate in the local government agency .
Therefore, since I have been unsuccessful in locating the relatives for over
2 years. I now seek your consent, to present you as the next of kin of the
deceased to the bank /property agent. To enable my firm obtain authorization
from the bank and property license agency commission laws, such that his
material pocessions shall be sent back to his homeland.Effective with a
satisfactory identification documentary papers that shall be produced by you
as a relative which shall bear same surname as obtained therein.
As you bear the same national identity/last name,so that the proceeds
of this account valued at $12.2million dollars can be paid to your
designated account immediately . Further, shall you give my humble request a
positive consent, supporting my firm in the
pursuit of this case.
we shall in partnership, share the money in these percentages; 50% to
my firm and 50% to you. As I have all the necessary legal documents put in
legality with international status that can be used to back up any claim we
shall make.
All I require is your honest cooperation and transparency to enable us
seeing this transaction to a success. Caution, this information is highly
classified,so do not try to take undue advantage of it in any manner.
On my honor ,i guarantee that this will be executed under a legitimate
arrangement that will
protect you from any breach of the law.
