"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

My Dearest One,

I am the above named person. I am married to Mr.Uzumma Jacobs who before his death was a wealthy cocoa Merchant here in Cote d'Ivoire We were married for 20 years with two children a boy and a girl, but I lost my son last year after a brief illness. He died after a brief illness that lasted for only four days. Before the death of my husband we were both born again Christians.

My Husband left for us the sum of US$7.8million United States Dollars in a fix/suspence account in one of the prime bank here in Cote d'Ivoire. Before now, I and my family were living in a city called Buake in Cote d'Ivoire before the rebels came and invaded the whole place. Unfortunately, my husband was shot dead on his way back from his cocoa plantation, that was how I lost my dear beloved husband, may his soul rest in perfect peace. I am now living with my only surviving child Linda Jacobs who is now 18years old.

Recently, my Doctor told me that I would not last for the next Eight months due to cancer problem. The one that disturbs me most is my H.B.P high blood pressure sickness. Having known my condition I decided to seek for your kind assistance and gesture in the following:

First, to assist in transfering this fund out of this country for investment in your country.
Secondly, to accept/adopt my daughter as part of your family, take good care of her and help her further her education and manage the fund properly.
Thirdly, to assist in negotiating for a good and lucrative business for investment of the fund in your country or any other country of your choice.

Please indicate your interest and willingness in this transaction by writing back to me through the above email address.

I want your maximum cooperation and keep this as confidential for security reasons, this is because my late husband relatives will be after my daughter if they get to know this since they seased all my late husbands property according to their tradition and left us with nothing except this fund that was deposited in a bank and my daughter was made the beneficiary of the fund.

I am sincerely waiting for your kind and urgent response as soon as your receive this mail.

Thanks and God bless you.

Sincerely Yours,
Mrs Sandra Jacobs(a dying mother)
