"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Mrs. Olga Udokah.

Mrs. Olga Udokah.
Zone 3, Abidjan.
Cote D'Ivoire.

My Dear,

With profound respect and humble submission I, beg to state following few
lines for your kind consideration, I hope you will spare some of your
valuable minutes to read following appeal with sympathetic mind. I must
confess that it is with great joy and enthusiasm that I write you this mail
which I know and believe by faith that it must surely find you in good
condition of health.

I would have contacted you through surface mail, but because of time, I
decided to reach you through email. Although you will be surprised to
receive this mail from me, but all the same, I humbly appeal for your
consent and understanding. My name is Mrs. Olga Udokah, I am married to
the former Chief executive officer of the Sudanese Diamond mining
corporation, His Excellency, Dr. Abou Udokah, who was assasinated by the
SPLM militias on the February 5th, 2004.

Two months ago, I received a notice from a security and finance company. The
letter was addressed to my late husband and the content of the letter was
about a deposit he has with their company. I have sent a letter to the
company, to inform them about the death of my husband and I requested for
the release of the deposit to me as the widow. The company management replied
me and demanded for my identity. So, I sent them my international passport
and my marriage certificate for confirmation. After their investigation, the
company management replied to inform that they are satisfied with their
findings and that they are now at my service to act according to my wish.
So, the company is now waiting for me to give them instruction on release
and transfer the deposit and this is one of my reasons for contacting you.

Since the death of my husband, there have been incessant hostilities
spanning in the family over his assets. Last month, my late husband's
brother who is a close associate of the Sudanese rebel leader, John Karang
invaded our house with some armed troops and they forcefully took from me
all the vital documents in my position, including my late husband's bank
papers. They also took my marriage certificate, my international passport
and my driver's license and drove us out of my late husband's house. They
have threatened to eliminate us so they could inherit all my late husband's
assets. In fact they have really humiliated us.

However, I take solace in God as they did not find any of the documents
relating to the deposit in the security company. Due to my present condition
here in Cote D'Ivoire, I am soliciting for your assistance to for the
release and transfer of this deposit to you on our behalf, as this is the
only thing left for my son and myself, it's the only future hope for us.
Please, help us to secure this deposit, while I look for a way to get out of
here with my son and relocate over to your country.

If you will be of any assistance, please reply as soon as possible, for me
to send you the vital information that you will need to with the security
company on our behalf as the beneficiary. I am ready to give you half of the
value of the deposit if only you will assist me in my present condition. I
have reposed my whole trust on you, please don't disappoint me.

Thank you in anticipation of your urgent response.

Yours truly,
Mrs. Olga Udokah.
