"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Read more about such scams here or in our 419 FAQ. Use the Scam-O-Matic to verify suspect emails.

Subject: Re: I need your help

Respect,

I am a US citizen born and brought up in West Africa region and was adopted
in my early life by an African family who masterminded the killing of my
father during the Ogoni crisis in 1994 and ever since I have been made to
work in an orange farm as slave in the region, my father was a shell
petroleum worker who before his death voluntary retired from services with
the hope to start his oil consulting firm but was attacked and killed by
this family who incidentally was planning to join partnership with him, I
also lost my only sister Anita during the crisis, according to record my
father told me that he divorced my mother a south Africa woman when I was
just three years and that she later died of cancer of the heart, I am 29
years now and has escaped from the garden with the help of my friend, I
intend to establish a legal battle to claim my fathers estates and funds
that he deposited with an agency here, my main concern of writing this mail
is basically to source for external support who will stand and guide me as a
brother sister father/mother in this time of battle in my life and also a
person who will continue to manage my father's escrow account abroad, it is
my pleasure and important to inform you that this project will cost me money
hence you will be in charge of disbursement of funds from our account
abroad.

having considered what your roll would look like in this project, note that
you would be highly compensated as soon as this project take’s off and are
sorted out, you are advised to contact me immediately so that your roll in
this matter would be spelt out to enable us commence.

Please note that I can be contacted with this number 234-8060683250

John Martin.
