"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

BUSINESS PROPOSAL/FUND TRANSFER AND INVESTMENT

ATTN: SIR/MADAM,

You may be surprise to receive this letter from me since you do not know me
personally. My name is BEN ZONDI, the only son of late MR.HENRY ZONDI, who
was murdered with my mother in a land dispute in Zimbabwe.

I got your email contact through the chamber of commerce here in
Johannesburg, South Africa. And I decided to write and seek for your
assistance in the problem I have. During the Crisis against the farmers of
the Zimbabwe by supporters of our president Robert Mugabe to claim all the
white owned farms in our country, he ordered all the white farmers to
surrender their farms to his party members and their followers. My father
was one of the best farmers in my country and knowing that he did not
support the president's political ideology, the president supporters invaded
my father's farm burnt down everything, killed my parents and confiscated
all my father's investment.

Before the death of my parents in the farm land, my father took me to South
Africa as his only Son to deposit the sum of US$27.5 Million United States
Dollars with a Security & Finance Company, as
he knew the looming danger in Zimbabwe. The money was deposited as ''FAMILY
TREASURE'' to avoid much demurrage from the Security Company. This money was
meant for buying of new machineries and chemical for farms and establishment
of new farms in Lesotho and Swaziland.

I moved to South Africa where I'm currently residing as asylum seekers. Of
late, when I decided to invest this money here in South Africa, I discovered
that the laws of this country prohibit asylum seekers the right to
investment or to operate any form of bank account. Hence I contacted you to
assist me in transfering this money out of South Africa to your overseas
bank account for onward investment.

I must let you know that this transaction is risk-free. So, if you are
willing and interested to assist me, I have decided to give you 15% of the
total sum for your assistance, 80% will be for my investment in your country
and the remaining 5% will be mapped out for all expenses we may incur during
the course of the transaction. Note that you would also assist me in
investing my own share of the money in your country since I don't have an
international investment idea.

Finally, I want you to understand that all hope is on you, and I rely on you
believing that you will not betray me when this fund finally transferred to
your overseas bank account. I need your urgent reply through the above
Telephone and E-mail. Do not forget to include your private telephone and
fax numbers for easier communication. Please treat this matter with
absolute confidentiality considering my situation here in South Africa as
asylum seeker as I cannot afford to lose this fund, for this is my last hope
to become somebody in life. Please be informed that the success of this
transaction is centered on trust, honesty, capability, and confidentiality,
which must be our watchwords to ensure the success of the transaction.

Thank you very much and may the good God bless you and your family
aboundantly as you help me.

Waiting for your urgent response.

Best Regards,

Ben Zondi.

NB/

Please kindly call me immediately you are through with this letter, to
enable us proceed and conclude this matter without further delay as you can
understand my situation here in South Africa as a refugee asylum seeker. Do
not also forget to include your direct telephone and fax numbers for oral
communication as I have said in my letter.
