"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: PLEASE TREAT AS URGENT.

From: Mr.Collins Mugah.

Dear Sir,

With due respect, trust and humility, I use this medium to write you irrespective of the fact that you do not know me, but please do consider this letter as a request from Orphans in dare need of assistance.I am Mr.Collins Mugah, the son of late Mr.& Mrs. Dickson Mugah, the renowned Zimbabwean Tobacco farmer.I got your contact e-mail address from Internet online. We are three in the family I and my younger Brother & Sister.

Currently we reside in Johannesburg South Africa were we seek for Asylum.During the seizure and land redistribution policies waged against commercial farmers in Zimbabwe by the supporters and cohorts of President Robert Mugabe to claim all the whites and few blacks owned farms in our country, our late father belonged to one of the classes of farmers targeted by the ZANU-PF armed group, because he was in the opposition Movement for Democratic change (MDC) that did not support their ideas and policies.

In the course of the revolution in the country, the ZANU-PF armed group (war veterans) attacked and invaded our father's farms and burnt everything including our houses and eventually killed our parents while we where at school. After the death of our parents , the agents of the ruling government started terrorizing us but we managed to escape the boundaries of Zimbabwe into a nearby country South Africa , because our lives were threatened and Zimbabwe was no longer safe for us to live in. We escaped safely into South Africa with some vital documents of our father's foreign properties.

However before his death he called our including with our late mother and narrated to us how he deposited the sum of USD$12.5M(TWELVE MILLION FIVE HUNDREAD THOUSAND DOLLARS)in a security company in South Africa, should he died because of the political crisis in Zimbabwe, but unfortunately we was killed with our mother by the agent of the ruling Government. The box containing the money is currently  in the vaults of a private security firm here in Johannesburg.  Presently, we are residing temporarily here pending the outcome of an appeal filed on our behalf by our attorney to the Department of Home Affairs to renew our political asylum papers. At the moment, we are in a dilemma on how to move this money safely out of South Africa for investments. Moreover due to South Africa's government’s monetary policies/regulations, it would be most dangerous to attempt investments here as such act could jeopardize our chances according to our Attorney.

In recognition of the investment opportunities that abound in your country. We solicit for your assistance in moving this money into your bank account for keeping pending our future arrival for investments, please be honest with us as we do not want to experience poor conditions of live hold now that our parents has passed away. We have resolved to compensate you adequately by giving you a commission of 15% of the total money.

We have also set aside 5% for pre-transfer expenses we may incur in the course of the transaction and guarantee that any other expenses during the transaction are subject to refund. We have in mind to establish a good relationship with you in the nearest future if you are able to assist us please let us receive your approval: Alternatively you can reply at: clmugah@yahoo.com If' you are unable to assist please be kind to notify us on time. We look forward for your prompt response.

Yours Faithfully

Mr.Collins Mugah
