"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Read more about such scams here or in our 419 FAQ. Use the Scam-O-Matic to verify suspect emails.

Subject: From Sacred Heart Ministry

Dearest in Christ,
Rom 16:2 That ye receive her in the Lord, as becometh saints, and that ye
assist her in whatsoever business she hath need of you: for she hath been a
succourer of many, and of myself also. ,my name is Reverend Sam Okuku. I am
contacting you on behalf of one my church members, Mr Robert Nana the son of
John Nana. He made me realised that his father died of food poisoned and his
relatives were after his wealth. Though after severe efforts by medical
personel to revive him came abortive.
As a Priest,he felt he could confide in me and he made me realised that he
was able to lay his hand on $3.4 million dollars left behind by his late
father. He asked me to look for a God fearing person who could help him in
securing the sum of $3.4 million dollars which is in a security company in
Cotonou, Republic of Benin for a lucrative investment.2Sa 22:3 The God of my
rock; in him will I trust: [he is] my shield, and the horn of my salvation,
my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.
I also want to know that I will never indulge myself in any sinful act
because of any material gain and i will never use thy name in vain because
in Num 32:14 And, behold, ye are risen up in your fathers' stead, an
increase of sinful men, to augment yet the fierce anger of the LORD toward
Israel. Please only reply this mail if you are pure in heart because my
Bible tells me that BLESSED ARE THE PURE IN
HEART FOR THEY SEE THE KINGDOM OF GOD.kindly let me know immediately you
recieve this mail so that i can give you more details. In Mar 8:38 Whosoever
therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and
sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he
cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. God Bless
Best Regards,
Rev. Okuku
