"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Sir,

You may be surprised to receive this letter from me since you do not know me personally; I am prince Mpoyo the first son of Mr. Ernest Mpoyo, who was recently murdered in the land dispute in ZIMBABWE. I got your contact through network online here in South Africa. Hence, decided to write to you.

Before the death of my father he had taken me to Johannesburg to deposit the sum of US$26,000,000 (TWENTY SIX MILLION UNITED STATES DOLLARS) in one of the private security company in Johannesburg, as if he foresaw the looming danger in Zimbabwe. This money as deposited in a box as GERM STONES to avoid much demurrage from the security company. This amount was meant for the purpose of new machines and chemicalsfor the farms and establishment of new farms in Swaziland.

This problem came when Zimbabwe PRESIDENT, MR ROBERT MUGABE introduced a new land act reform which wholly affected the rich white farmers and some few black
farmers, and this resulted to the killing and mob action by Zimbabwean war veterans and some lunatics in the society. In fact, a lot of people were killed because of this land-reformed act of which my father was one of the victims.

It is against the background that I and my family, account since the law of South Africa prohibits a refugee to open any bank account or to be involved in any financial transaction throughout the territorial zone of South Africa. As the eldest son of my father,

I am saddled with the responsibility of seeking a foreign account where this money could be transferred without the knowledge of my government who want to take everything we have got, moreover the South African foreign exchange policy does not allow such investment as an asylum seeker. For your assistance, I have decided to compensate you with 20% of the total sum, while 5% has been mapped out for any expenses, which both parties may incur during this transaction.

The remaining 75% will be for my family and I for investment in your country. I will need your guidance and assistance with investing. I must also emphasize that you will not in any way be implicated either before or after the conclusion of this project. It is 100% risk-free and as a matter of honesty.

Contact me on the above e-mail address indicating your interest as soon as possible, on receiving of your acceptance, I shall be glad to give you more clarification on this modalities needed for smooth successful completion of this transaction.
I anticipate your quick response.

Best regard.

prince mpoyo
(For and On behalf of my family)
