"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Read more about such scams here or in our 419 FAQ. Use the Scam-O-Matic to verify suspect emails.

Greetings,

Please read this with an open mind, verify what i have written independently
if you wish and get back to me .

I am Mr. Koko Banda, the auditor general of a prime bank in Africa. As you
may be aware Nigeria is the 6Th largest producer of Crude Oil in the World,
in addition Nigeria is blessed with natural resources and should rightly be
among the richest nations of the third world. Nigeria unfortunately for some
is bedevilled by corruption , this corruption transcends all tiers of
government. The most corrupt are those that pretend to be righteous and
these are the leaders.

Recently the wife of the Nigerian President, Mrs. Stella Obasanjo passed
away in Spain.

http://allafrica.com/stories/200510240984.html

She died of complications arising from a cosmetic surgery operation that
went wrong, she was 59, was about to celebrate her 60Th birthday and decided
that a little nip and tuck would not hurt. This is in a country where the
mortality rate among infants is among the highest in the world and the
average wage is below 100 dollars a month. The truth had not been fully
told, Late Mrs Obasanjo was also into a lot of shady deals, she used her
husbands position as President to secure huge contracts for he cronies and
relations, the typical African story be exemplified in the IDI AMIN of
Uganda saga.

I knew Stella personally because i used to help her lodge money into various
accounts. I did help her in the belief that she would pay me or at least pat
me on the back, she did promise but never kept or fulfilled a single one. I
would go to the airport to receive her errand boys, they would fly into the
country and i would help them deposit funds. I was never paid.

Stella has passed on and their are huge sums everywhere which she quietly
stashed away, she knew they would not stay in power forever so she was
getting a nest of money ready, well God knows best.

I will need you to go into partnership with me, I know of a good deposit
that was left without a Beneficiary name, I went with Stella and she told
them to hold onto the money and that she would get back to them, its USD36
Million . I cant go back and give them my name as they will know its not
true, but i want to submit your name as the beneficiary. Once i do they will
contact you and act on your instructions. This particular Deposit had no
Next of Kin notification as she wanted

to use it privately to buy houses without her husband knowledge. Her husband
the President of Nigeria , Olusegun Obasanjo has 4 wives and numerous
concubines, Stella was not too happy with this but enjoyed the limelight
that went with her role as first lady. There is no risk of anyone finding
out as no one knows about it.

I suggest that we share this 50-50 after we donate at least half a million
to charity. I will stop here until i hear from you and provide further
details when you verify what i have written so far. You can also read this
clip.
