"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Your Kind Attention Please,

I am Robert Udia from South Africa. And I am making this contact
confidetially to you hoping that you will handle it with maturity, let me go
straight to the point. I discovered some document containing $120m, dollars
stating cash deposited in my late directors portfolio on his foreign
partners name. I contacted the bank to to ascertain the truth and they
confirmed the deposit of the fund which has been laid unclaimed for over two
years.

Our company handles consultancy and seismographic jobs for oil companies’
including Total South Africa (Pty) Ltd, BP Southern Africa (Pty) Ltd, Alex
Oil (SA) (Pty) Ltd, Engen Petroleum Ltd, Shell South Africa Pty) Ltd. The
owner of this company is Late Eng. James Uforo, who was also a politician
and businessman in South Africa for over thirty years before his unfortunate
death last year.

As the accounts officer of the company, I was opportune to have helped in
his financial transaction with his banks in South Africa. Presently, our
company has fold due to insufficient funding to pay salaries, debts, tax
etc. For this reason, since the prove of the deposit are directly in my
custody, I contacted the bank to put up the claim of this money but they
refused saying that unless I present a foreign associate of my late boss to
claim the fund.

Presently, I am in Ghana where I traced the holding bank of the fund. Right
now, I have worked out a perfect plan that will enable the claim possible
through the help of an insider of the bank. The only thing that is remaining
is a foreigner to stand for the claim therefore I want you to assist me by
presenting yourself as the foreign associate of Eng. James Uforo, so that
this money can be wired into your designated account by Swift Telegraphic
Transfer without any delay through my perfected arrangement with the insider
of the bank.

I got your contact while I was searching for a reputable investor who can
help me stand the claim of this fund so that parts of this fund could be
invested through him. I am making this contact hoping that you will be
willing and capable of handling this proposal and assist me to grab this
fortune. Meanwhile, according to the insider of the bank, my late boss
deposited this money in a foreign name for security purpose since he was
also actively involved poblic service and politic therefore to avoid probe
by the government.

Please feel free because this money is not in anyway related to drugs or any
illegal activities whatsoever, you don’t have anything to worry about as soon
as you accept this offer; I will let you know on the possibility of the
claim. Please if you are interested and sure that you cannot betray me in
these regards, reply to me and let’s talk on your percentage and more
Details.

PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU ARE THE ONLY PERSON THAT HAVE THIS INFORMATION, I
BELIEVE WE CAN TRUST EACH OTHER. PLEASE I WILL APPRECIATE YOUR HONESTY AND
CO-OPERATION AS WE MAINTAIN A HIGH ESTEEM OF CONFIDENTIALITY IN THIS
REGARDS. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU.

Best Regards,

Robert.
