"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Read more about such scams here or in our 419 FAQ. Use the Scam-O-Matic to verify suspect emails.

Family Assistance

I know you will receive this business proposal as asurprise since we have
nevermet or communicate before, but rest be assured that this proposal comes
with the best of prospect since it is 100% risk free but first, I must
introduce myself.

I am Smith. Savimbi from the Angola , and my father was the former Ex-rebel
reader who was murded by force of Government troopes. During the war
between my father forces led by Ex-head of state, that's Allied Forces
(E.F), my country relied heavily on the foreign earnings generated from
Anglo {Gold} Trade.

This money was personally kept by my father, Major Johnney Paul savimbi,
as our banking system had collapsed during the war. However, as the war
progressed, It became apparent that we are going to loose the war to the
superior and better armed Allied Forces (E.F).

At this point, the key officers of the administration started making frantic
efforts on how to leave Angola safely thereby sharing the proceeds/money
from this Anglo Gold Trade.

In view of the fact that my father was one of the officers of the then
administration , He succeeded in getting the sum of US$10.5M (TEN- MILLION,
FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND UNITED STATES DOLLARS). I and my father made
arrangements and transferred the money through diplomatic means to Republic
of South Africa{Security Company}, where we are presently living in exile as
an asylum seeker /refugee{mother and children}.

After due consideration, the money was deposited with a security and finance
company for security reasons as coded "FAMILY VALUABLES". The actual content
were not disclosed to the security company, pending when we are ready and
find a dependable person such as you that will assist us in transferring
this money to his account outside South Africa.

Because of strict Monetary and banking laws here, do not allow asylum
seekers (refugees) certain financial/ banking rights.

Unfortunately my father, Jonney P.Savimbi, died of slain bullets from the
government forces after some months of rebels in Angola. I shall be most
grateful if you can assist us to accomplish this transaction and hoping too
that you will remain trustworthy.

For your efforts and assistance, I will give 20% of the total sum to you
while 5% will be set aside for all the expenses incurred during the course
of this transaction while the remaining 75% will be left for my family
investment. Please note that this transaction is 100% risk free. I have
completed every arrangement on this transaction.

As such, the things I need from you are total assistance to transfer this
money, complete trust and honesty. Our own part of this money will be
invested in your country afterwards.

We would also wish to keep this proposal highly confidential and secret,
considering our father’s position and the source of this money. If you can
be of help to me immediately, please mail me through this e-mail
smithsavimbi17@hotmail.com

Thanks for your anticipated co-operation,

Yours Faithfully,

Smith Savimbi .{for family}
