"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Read more about such scams here or in our 419 FAQ. Use the Scam-O-Matic to verify suspect emails.

Barrister DANIEL JONES
14,Ade Jones Avenue,
Ikoyi-Lagos.
Nigeria

Dear In Christ,
It is with Heavy Heart i am reaching you regarding the death of my late client. I am Barrister DANIEL JONES, the legal adviser to late Mr BOUBRIQUE EMMANUEL,a very Wealthy French Man that lived in my Country,Nigeria for 25 years before his recent Death on the 26th of December at the Tsunami disaster last year(2004).He served God as very dedicated christian,He so dedicated his life to God but he had no child till his death. Throughout his stay in my country,he acquired a lot of landed properties like lands, houses, Estates etc. As his legal adviser and close confidant before his death, Mr BOUBRIQUE EMMANUEL instructed me to write his WILL because he had no child as if he knew his death was so soon.May his soul rest in perfect peace.Amen! You can find details of him on this link:(http://www.missingperson.or.th) by searching for his name.
According to the WILL,his assets should be given out to a ministry for the work of God.As their legal adviser, all the documents for the assets are deposited with a Vault Company. He gave me the authority to give out the funds to any Ministry of my choice for the work of God.As instructed by Mr.Robert Smith before his death, the fund should be invested into Evangelism in the manner of crusades and building of temples of worship. As a matter of fact the total amount of money that is deposited with the Vault Company is $5,500,000.00.He had to apply the wisdom of King Solomon by not wanting the management of the Security Company to know the actual content of the consignments, therefore he registered the content of the consignments as Gold Bars. Now,the Vault company believes that what was deposited with them were Gold Bars.
As a born again Christian,I have to do what is lawful and right in the sight of God by giving out the fund to the chosen ministry for the purpose of God's work as instructed by the owner before his death. After our fasting and prayers today,I asked God to make his choice and direct me to an honest Christian or the chosen ministry that deserves this fund by his Grace. That was how we came about your contact address.I appeal to you for the fund to be used wisely for things that will glorify the name of God.I have just notified the Vauly Company where they deposited the consignments that contain the fund, that I am moving the consignment abroad to the beneficiary, and the Vault company is awaiting my authority and ready to work with us.
Dear child of zion,if you know that you will use this fund honestly and wisely for things that will glorify God's name, then do contact me with your phone and fax numbers for better
communications on my home email: DJones@Deacons.com
Your prompt response will be highly appreciated.

Bless Your Heart,
