"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITY


I am writing you this business letter in order to seek your cooperation and
collaboration for the investment of $9.5 Million U.S Dollars from my client
who is seeking a partner to whom this fund will be entrusted for productive
investment ventures instead of war. As a General, in the Cabinda region, my
client was in charge of arms purchase within the resistance movement. He
looks to make this investment discreetly under discretionary asset
management arrangement.


Due to my privileged African background, I have been consulted by the wife
of the late General to source for a reliable person who will be willing to
accept to work with the family towards actualizing this investment.


I have contacted you on the consideration that I could discuss with you the
possibility of my client placing this fund with you for management either in
your existing establishment or other venture to be undertaken at your
discretion under terms to be agreed upon. He prefers that this investment be
