"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: PRIVATE AND CONFIDENTIAL.

FROM MS. JANE YOLAN JOMO
ADD:166 HOUGHTON COURT
JO'BURG SOUTH AFRICA.

PRIVATE AND CONFIDENTIAL.

Attn:

I have the honor and confidence to introduce to you this business in view of
the fact that you are trustworthy and reliable in business. Obviously, you
will be surpriseed to read this letter from me
consider it as a request from a family in dear need of foreign assistance. I
am Ms. JANE YOLAN JOMO, the only daughter of Late Mr. Jami JOMO who was
recently murdered in a land dispute
in Zimbabwe. I am 29 years old, a graduate of business administration,I was
furnished with viable information about you, from the international trade
center here in South Africa, and in support with the chamber of commerce
(JHB). Hence I decided to contact you.

Before the death of my father, he had taken me to Johannesburg to deposit
the sum of US$17.5Million (Seventeen Million Five Hundred Thousand United
State Dollars) as if he foresaw the
looming danger in Zimbabwe. The money was deposited in one strong metal box
in one of the top security company here in South Africa, this money he
intending to use in purchasing new machines for the farms and establishment
of a new farm in Switzerland. This land problem started when the president
of Zimbabwe Mr.Robert Mugabe, introduced a new land act, which wholly
affected the rich white farmers and some few black farmers. This resulted in
the killing and mob action by the Zimbabwean war veterans and some lunatic
in the society, in fact a lot of people have been killed because of this
land reform act, of which my father was one of the victims.

Currently, my mother and I are staying in South Africa as asylum seeker
(Refugees) but our problem is that as refugees we do not enjoy some certain
right, because the South African foreign exchange
policy does not allow asylum seekers to own an investment, nor to operate
any form of bank account or to be involved in any financial transaction. It
is against this background that I as the only daughter and the one my father
asigned this documents to i therefore decided to transfer this
money out of South Africa, and am saddled with the responsibility of seeking
a genuine foreign account into which this money could be transferred to.

As someone whom I am going to entrust my future in his hand, I must let you
know that this transaction is 100% risk free as I have all the legal
documents of the deposition of my father's
consignment in the security company, which he did on my own name. If you
agree to assist me and my mother, However for this to be perfected you will
need to come down to Johannesburg here in South Africa so that you can open
a non-resident account, which will aid us in transferring this
money into any of your nominated overseas bank account.but in the case you
are occupied kindly let me know earlier and furnish me with your
communication facilities ie fax and phone number so that i can consult my
financial advicer for further arrangement.

I have two options for you, would you like to have some percentage of this
money, I have mapped out 25% for your assistance 5% for any expenses
incurred in this transaction and the rest I intend
to invest it in your country. The second option is to go into partnership
with me in any
investment I would have in your country. If this transaction is interested
by you, please contact me via the email address above.

Thanks and may the Almighty bless you.

Yours Truly,

JANE YOLAN JOMO.
