"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Partnership

Dear Partner,

I am Dr.Ahmed Ibrahim Manager AFRICA DEVELOPMENT BANK,
DAKAR-SENEGAL. I have very confidential business proposal for you. On Dec 4,
2000, our single Customer by name Mr. Benson Joseph, made a numbered (Fixed)
Deposit for Twenty-Four calendar months, valued at US$20,000,000.00 (Twenty
Million United States
Dollars) in my branch.

On maturity, which was 4th Dec 2002, I sent notification to his forwarding
address but after a long time, I got reply from The Construction Corporation
where he work, that Mr. Benson Joseph died from Heart Failure. On further
investigation, I found out that he died without making a "WILL", and all
attempts to trace his next of kin was fruitless.

I therefore discovered that Mr. Benson Joseph did not declare any
next-of-kin or relations in all official documents he left with my Bank,
including his Deposit paperwork in my Bank. Based on the agreement this Bank
had with Mr. Joseph Benson, this sum of
US$20,000,000.00, was deposited through the help of our Bank to a reputable
Bank overseas. And the account number and the details of the Bank where the
fund is deposited
are still with me as his account officer. Meanwhile, the Bank has written to
me to present the next of kin to the decease or they will have the money
confiscated as one of their
dormant account money.

Consequently, my proposal is that I will like you as a foreigner to stand in
as the next of kin to Mr. Benson Joseph to claim this money, And upon
acceptance to
work with me towards the actualization of this claim, I will furnish you
with details that will enable you communicate the Bank in quote yourself and
confirm the total sum through their Bank. And further access this Account to
verify the genuineness of this deposit
yourself.

Understand that upon my receipt of your acceptance mail, I will send details
that will enable us secure the fund for our selfs; the money will be paid
into your account for us to share in the ratio of 50% for me and 50% for
you. There is no risk at all, I assured
that with my position as Manager of my branch; I will guide you successful
toward the final execution of this transaction

Please observe utmost confidentiality, and be rest assured that this
transaction would be most profitable for both of us, and all depends on your
honest and accountantability.

I wait to reciprocate your response.

Thanks and regards.

Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim
