"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: FROM MRS, CINDY NKOSI

Dear Friend,

I contacted you in such a surprising manner, but I respectfully insist that
you read this mail carefully as I am optimistic that it will open doors for
unimaginable financial reward for both of us.I want you to assist me and my
two children to help us stand as our beneficiary to receive our fund,
deposited in a security company here in South Africa.

I am a citizen of Liberia and wife of the late personal assistance to the
former Minister of land, Mines and Energy Dr. Johnson Nkosi who was killed
by rebels during the war in Liberia.
Before my husband's death he made me to understand that he deposited some
huge amount of money which he made from sale of diamond and gold and gave
me all relevant documents of the consignment which when deposited was marked
as family belonging for security reasons.
The total amount of money he deposited with this Security Company in South
Africa is FIFTEEN MILLION UNITED STATES DOLLARS.

I am hereby soliciting your assistance to be my foreign partner and adviser
because, I do not know much about investment and I need you to assist me for
investment of this fund in your country. You will be entitled to "Ten
Percent" (10%) of the total sum, for your assistance

Your compensation for the assistance is negotiable while Five percent (5%)
of the whole sum will be mapped out for any expenses
