"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Read more about such scams here or in our 419 FAQ. Use the Scam-O-Matic to verify suspect emails.

Subject: Hello

Dear Sir/Ma,

United Kingdom based company H & L LIMITED, jointly owned by Seigha Davis
and Favour Seriki, is in the forefront of deepwater drilling technology.
Most of today's offshore oil and gas production is at water depths of less
than 300 metres. At these water depths, the largest reservoirs have already
been discovered and the oil and gas industry is therefore focusing on new
areas in deeper water, up to 3,000 metres, to make new discoveries.

We will be very glad if you can represent us in your United States of
America and earn up to 10% of every payment made through you to us.
Please we will need you to help me with your personal details such as Full
names, home/office address, phone and fax numbers respectively, you can also
reach us on +44 703 190 2221 or mail back at infodesk0606@yahoo.ca should
you be interested.

We patinetly await your swift response.

Regards,
Seigha Davids
Managing Partner.
