"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: FROM MAJOR CHIUBA'''''''''

DEAR SIR,

I am Major Chris chiuba until lately, I was the Chief Security officer to
the charles Taylor of the Democratic Republic of LIBERIA. Regarding your
reliability and trustworthiness, I decided to seek for your assistance in
transferring some money into your country for onward dispatch and
investment. I will reveal to you, based on the fact that I could rely on
you, that at the height of the crises that led to president charles Taylor
he personally mandated and instructed us to create and equip a special elite
force to protect him against the rebels that were working against his
government. This instruction was very discreet and highly confidential. It
was backed up with sum of US$9,700,000.00 NINE Million Seven Hundred
Thousand United State Dollars) In cash, for the purchase of arms and
ammunition from the elite corps, Republic of South Africa.

We brought this fund to Nigeria where we are supposed to negotiate and
purchase the arms and ammunition. This money was transported through
diplomatic means and negotiations were still in progress when the news that
our president had been asked to leave the country, based on the instruction
of the ecowas and international org, then we quickly decided to stop all
negotiations and diverted the money to our personal use. It was a golden
opportunity, and we could not return to our country due to our loyalty to
the government of charles Taylor. The money is presently deposited with a
Security Company. They do know the contents of the box. We deposited it as a
family treasure containing gold and diamonds. We now seek your assistance in
providing an overseas account to enable us transfer this money out to where
it can be invested.

We have made all the necessary arrangements on my own side to ensure a
smooth remittance. However, due to my refugee status we cannot operate an
account here, neither can we invest here. Hence my desire to transfer and
invest in your country. With this development, we intend to keep my presence
here in Nigeria low profile due to our popularity back home, so we request
all information provided to be kept secret and confidential. We are obliged
to provide details immediately we receive the acknowledgement of this from
you indicating your interest to assist us. You can contact me with this
E-mail address immediately for easy communication.bathcc2@yahoo.com or you
call me on this line +23480-23983669.

I AM PRESENTILY IN NIGERIA WHERE THE PRESIDENT IN SEEKING ASYLUM.AND BY THE
NEWS OF YESTERDAY HE HAS BEEN MANDATED TO GO BACK TO LIBERIA AND FACE THE
COURT OF LAW IN THE LOOTING OF THE COUNTRIES FUND.

Best regards, Major
