"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: From Elena with Love.

Mrs. Elena Edmundo
London, UK.

Please forgive me if this message comes to you as a surprise I was divinely
inspired to pick your name among other names found in the Internet
database. I am Mrs. Elena Edmundo a citizen of Colombia married to
Dr.Julius Edmundo who worked with the Malaysia Embassy in South Africa for
nine years. I am currently undergoing medical treatment in the UK following
the effect of my husband death. He went on assignment/vacation to India
when the Tsunami incidences happened. My husband never come back, he died
along with thousands of other people. His body was never found. We were
married for eleven years without a child.

Presently I have developed a heart problem which sparked off as a result of
the demise of my husband whom I have loved so much. I am currently not able
to move around due to a partial paralysis. I have a feeling time is running
out on me. I do not like the way the doctors are whispering. However, my
husband have some amount of funds with a deposit company that I would want
you to recieve on my behalf. I had thought I will be able to come out of
this and build a foundation for my late husband with the money. It is
obvious to me now that I will not come out this illness as my strength is
getting weaker by the day. If I die now, the dream of touching someone's
life with my money will die with me that is why I am contacting you; to
recieve the said funds and help me to touch lives by building a foundation
in my late husband's name. I also want a certain percentage of the money to
be given to some motherless home so that my kind gesture will affect
someone after I am gone.

In this regard, I want you to recieve the funds on my behalf and For your
service to handle the foundation and manage the fund on my behalf, I want
you to keep 20% of the money. I understand that this is a standard charges.
The total amount my late husband left behind is US$12M in a deposit company.
You will act as fund manager/consultant for the foundation. As soon as we
conclude discussion, I will ensure that the deposit is brought to you.

They said blessed is the hand that giveth. My strength is failing me now and
your trust and sincerity is what matter to me. I am not afraid of death
because I know where I am going.

If you feel you are worthy enough to make yourself available in thisproject,
let me know immediately you read my email by replying with your telephone
number and contact address to me. I will email you with further
instructions and the neccessary informations that you will need. I really
miss my husband and I would want his name to live on, So please have a heart
and help me with this project.

Waiting for your response.

Thank you and God bless.

Yours Sincerely,
Mrs. Elena Edmundo.
