"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Read more about such scams here or in our 419 FAQ. Use the Scam-O-Matic to verify suspect emails.

Subject: PLEASE CONSIDER MY REQUEST

Dear Friend

Before I start, I must first Apologies for this unsolicited mail to you.I am
aware that this is certainly an unconventional approach to starting a
relationship, but as time goes on you will realize the need for my action
which I will like you to consider as a golden opportunity worth doing, but
please treat with absolute secrecy and personal.

I am Dr. Mrs.Joyce Duke, I am permanent secretary under central bank of
Nigeria (CBN). Presently there is fixed contract sum of (us$30,000,000.00)
thirty million dollars, which is already with the custody of CBN remittance
department.

This fixed contract sum is for contract Payment of,an Australlian oil
expertrate consultant/contractor with via National Petroleum cooperation
(NNPC) Mr. Peter Bush who executed a contract here Few years ago.

I sent a routine notification to his forwarded address but got no reply
after months we send a reminder and finally we discovered from his contract
employee (Nigeria national petroleum Corporation) that Mr peter Bush died
from an automobile accident. On further investigation, it was clear that he
died without making a will. All attempts by the Australian to trace his next
of kin were fruitless. I therefore made further investigation and discovered
that Mr. Peter Bush did not declare any next of kin or relations in all his
official documents

>From the best of my knowledged, with our Banking ethics presently here with
the CBN, if no body comes forward for the claim of this fixed contract sum
before the mandate, the money will be recalled back to the CBN treasury as
unclaimed bill.
This is the situation , and my proposal is that I am looking for an honesty
foreigner who will stand in as the beneficiary/next of kin. This is simple.
All you have to do is to is to contact the CBN remittance department for the
claim of the money immediately to any provided bank account of your choice.I
have all the details that will enable you prove yourself genue and claims
legally without no delay.

I have agreed, the moment the money is transferred into any provided bank
account of your choice,we will share in the ration of 60% for me 30% for you
while the remaining 10% will be set aside for expenses incurred with here
and there.

keep in mind that this transaction is a life time golden opportunity and it
is 100% risk-free and you should not entertain any fear as the whole
required arrangement has been perfected for the transfer

Please do not expose this deal if you are not interested because if you
do,it will take me out of seat and my communications with shall be through
email untill you make the claim from the CBN remittance department.

If you are interested and in agreement with me, please email me back
immediately via my private email: cbn_secretary@ny.com

Respectfully Submitted
Dr Joyce Duke (MRS)
CBN secretary.
