"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: From Madame Clotilde Mariam Eyadéma and family.

Dear Friend,

Greetings. with warm hearts i offer my friendship and sincerely hope this
mesage meets you in good health condition. we know it may be quite
surprising for you when you receive this email as you don't know us yet but
our present situation and need to leave this africa entirely leaves us with
no option but to seek for urgent help from a reliable person.please, it is
our hope that you will read this message carefully and with understanding. i
am Madame Mariam Clotilde Gnassingbe Eyadéma from the federal republic of
Togo. i am the wife of late Biawa Gnassingbe Eyadema. my husband was the
elder brother of late President Etienne Gnassingbe Eyadéma, who died on the
5/2/2005. like you may know, his son Faure Eyadéma siezed power immediately
his father died and due to some family problems, our safety can't be assured
in our country under Faure's leadership. Right from time, our relationship
with Faure has never been cordial. even before the death of my husband, he
always has reasons to cause quarrel in the family because he thought my
husband had intensions to take over after his father's tenure. such
accusations were not true because my husband never had such ambitions, but
for our safety, we had to flee Lome to resettle temporarily
in Accra, Ghana. can you be able to visit us here in Ghana? under pressures
from the world and international community, Faure made some arrangements and
handed over power temporarily to Abbas Bonfoh who he can control from
behind, while he make plans to win the fake elections which he recently
conduncted and won by large margins. Fambaré Ouattara Natchaba was the right
person to have taken over as he was president of the assembly nationale
before death of President Etienne, but Faure made plans to installe Abbas
Bonfoh who finally helped him to rig the elections. we have other problems
to talk about now and would't want to discuss much about family problems.
we arrived Ghana safely but we are making every effort to keep our real
identities from the public due to security reasons. because of safety
reasons, we don't want any person back home to know our present locations
until we leave here safely. Faure is very bad and dangerous and he has
influence in the army because he is very close to the chef d'état-major,
Général Zakari Nandja, who helped him to sieze power immediately they
announced his fathers death. Franky speaking, it wasn't the rights of Faure
to take over power and he wouldn't make a good president for our country
because we know him so well. Fambare Ouattara Natchaba was not in the
country when President Etienne died, so Faure benefited through his army
friends and seized power forcefully. honestly, we are giving you these
details with deep trust and confidence. according to our religious beliefs,
we prayed and fasted before we decided to send you this message and we hope
that you will understand our need to keep details of this matter very
confidential, even if you decide not to help us. we are presently in
possession of 18 million dollars which my late husband left before his
death. he concealed the fund in 2 trunk cases which he deposited at a
security company depot for custody. each of this cases conatins 9 million
dollars but he didn't want the staffs of security company to know real
contents of the cases, so he declared them as containing african arts and
paint works for export to a foreign business partner. due to the constant
problems here, my husband decided to make plans to have the cases moved out
of africa entirely. sometime before his death, he made arrangement to have
the cases shipped to Europe through some diplomates, since he didn't
consider it safe to lodge such amount in the bank here with our family
names. unfortunalety, only one of the cases was eventually shipped out
through that arrangements and 1 case was still left at the security company
depot here in Accra. we now need your assistance to retrieve the 1 case that
is still here in Accra and also open a bank account here in your name to
lodge the fund for transfer to your country bank. we can always present your
name to the security company as the foriegn business partner of my husband
who they registered as beneficiary of the cases, since the term "foreign
business partner" was only used by my husband for securiry reasons. i have
discussed this with my son Benald and daughter Serifat and we all agreed to
offer you 15 percent of the total fund for your assistance. we will like to
invest the balance in lucrative ventures in your country and we will be
depending on your guardiance to ressettle finally in your country, once we
have the fund safely moved to your country. please, my english is poor but
my son Benald attended english school. send us your private phone number so
that we can call you to discuss more with you, but you can always call us
through this phone number:00233 244 819070
we will expect your urgent responce.
remain blessed.
Madame Clotilde Mariam Eyadéma and family.
