"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: URGENT!!!

UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA,

OWERRI,

NIGERIA.

Dear Friend,
EDUCATIONAL APPEAL FUND
May the peace of God Almighty that passeth all understanding rest and abide
with thee,as it has always been in the beginning.I am grateful to the
Almighty for having kept you and me in good fate together in His holy
communion of love, as he said in his word in the book of Ps 25 vs 6"Remember
O Lord, thy tender mercies and thy loving kindness, for they have been ever of
old".What else is worth living on earth if not to serve and bless God
according to the book of Ps 34 vs 1 "I will bless the Lord at all times,His
praise shall continually be in my mouth.Halleluyah!".

Friend, my aim of writing is to request for funds for my education.I am
a young and dynamic student who believes in a bright future through God and
Education.I have always nursed the dream of becoming one of the greatest
Engineers the world has ever produced, this idea of becoming a renowed person
that would change the world to a better place become a part of me when i
discovered that with God and education i can achieve it.

Paul in the Bible said "we should study to show ourselves approved".At
present i am an undergraduate of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in
one of the renowned universities in my country (Nigeria),and the educational
system here does not allow the chance to work for a living while
schooling. How on earth would the money for my fees and books come from.I
can't watch and see my future shrink into the cold hands of failure and
poverty. That is why i am appealing for a token to help me pay my fees and
buy my recommended Textbooks.

God has been faithful to me,i have a friend whom God has been using to
provide my feeding at least two square meal a day,but is not that
financially bouyant as he sometimes needs help financially.Pastor, that is
why i'm appealing for this fund.

I know that wherever the money comes out from my God will
replenish a million fold"Amen!!!"
