"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Attention: DEAR SIR,

YOUR KIND ATTENTION: CONFIDENTIAL MESSAGE

I am Dr. Clement Adams, a personal accountant to Engr.
Michael. S. Donald ,a national of your country, who
before his death
worked with [AGULF International] a Shipping agency in
United
Kingdom.

Herein, after shall be referred to as my friend and
client. On the 4th of May 2002, my client, his wife
and their
only Child/son, were involved in a plane crash.
All occupants of the aboard the flight unfortunately
lost their lives. Till date, I have made several media
publications and
enquiries to the embassy to locate any of my late
friends
extended relatives but all have proved unsuccessful.

NOTE: Following a summon from BANK OF SCOTLAND,
where the deceased had an account valued at about
$20.5million dollars. The bank has issued my firm a
notice to
contact/provide a family member to stand as next of
kin to the account
deposited or have it branded unserviceable and
confiscated.

Also, GROUP-3 PARTNERSHIP ESTATE MANAGEMENT
CONSULTANT, have written a letter of notification to
my firm for
the renewal of his property-ownership certificate in
the local
government agency.

Therefore, since I have been unsuccessful in locating
the relatives for over 2 years. I now seek your
consent to present you as the
next of kin of the deceased to the bank/property
agent, to enable my firm
obtain authorization from the bank and property
license agency commission
laws, such that his material possessions shall be
repatriated to his
homeland.

Effective with a satisfactory identification
documentary papers that shall
be produced by you as a relative which shall bear same
surname as obtained therein, having bared same
national identity/last name
so that the proceeds of this account valued at
$20.5million dollars can be
paid to your designated account immediately.
Furthermore,

shall you give my humble request a
positive consent supporting
my firm in the pursuit of this case, we shall in
partnership, share the
money in these percentages; 60% to my firm and 40%
toyou.

As I have all the
necessary legal documents put in legality and with
international status that
can be used to back up any claim we shall make.
All I require is your honest co-operation and
transparency to enable us seeing this transaction to a
success. Caution, this information is highly
classified;
therefore do not try to take undue advantage of it in
any manner.

On my honor, I guarantee that this will be executed
under a legitimate arrangement that will protect you
from any breach of
the law.

Thank you for your good understanding; I look forward
