"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Read more about such scams here or in our 419 FAQ. Use the Scam-O-Matic to verify suspect emails.

RE: ASSISTANCE AND INVESTMENT
I am Barr Berryman lace mawer,a solicitor based in London
UnitedKingdom I was instructed to contact
you by my client her Excellency Hajia Mariam Abacha,
the wife of the
Late Head of State and her family. Since her husband
passed away, the
federal government has a grip on her husband's assets
both home and
abroad and this is now telling on her family. Since
the new civilian regime
came into place, she is now in urgent need of a
partner/ confident
through whom she can deposit some money in his/her
care, this money was
deposited by my late client Gen Sani Abacha, the
amount is 10, 000,000.00
(Ten Million Dollars Only).
Click below and see what federal government is doing
to her family:

Her Excellency is loosing everything to her government
all because her
husband is dead. Her son, second Son Abba was
extradited from
Germany to Switzerland where he is answering questions
on his
late fathers loot when he was the head of state of
Nigeria. Madam Hajia
has been interviewed over that and she is now on house
arrest
that is why she has instructed me to contact a
foreigner who is honest and
can be trustworthy for assistance to help her claim
this fund from the
fiduciary/security company in Europe, I would advice
you to get back to me informing me how much you
are willing to be compensated in this transaction and
also you are
to communicate with the fiduciary/security company,
acting as the owner of the
funds on presentation of the documents i will give to
you. This will enable you claim the fund successfully.
I would explain more about this upon your acceptance
to be a partner in
this life saving project. You can contact me through
my private email address
stated above
