"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Ian Suzy

This is to acknowledge receipt of your response to earlier sent business
proposal to you. After consideration, I am grateful that you find it right
in your heart to assist my distressed family out our predicaments.

Though, I know that a transaction of this magnitude will make any one
apprehensive and worried, based on the fact that I have not known you
earlier before now or seen in person.but I am assuring you that all will be
well at the end of the day. All that is required from you is your total
co-operation and confidentiality in this transaction to enable us achieves
our aim within the shortest period. Therefore, I have to explain my
predicament to you in details how this transaction will take effect.

The need for me to seek the assistance of a foreign affiliate was
necessitated by my status here hence am currently asylum seeker and the
monetary policy guideline of the South African financial system do not
empower asylum seeker any right to operate any bank account. Therefore, I am
not authorized to clear or make any withdrawals from the consignment in the
Security Company because of my political status.

It was in the height of the above that I sought the advice of a financial
consultant who then advice me that I should seek the service of a foreign
partner who will be willing and able to assist me by serving as my trustee.
That is the person with whose name this money will be lifted out to avoid it
bearing our family name so that it will not be traced out and seized in the
lifting of the money.

So I decided to contact you due to the urgency of this transaction. I
believe it is my luck and the wish of God to have you and to use you to
salvage me and my family from the depressions facing us presently and to
transfer this money to your country for investment.

However, I would like to know the following from you in order to give me
that assurance that you are capable of handling the transaction.

(1) How old are you?

(2) What business are you doing presently?

(3) Where do you intend this money to be transferred?

(4) As this fund will be under your care and also invested in your country,
will you maintain the absolute secrecy that this transaction requires?

Please answer the above question with an open heart and as soon as I hear
from you I will relate to you more information, you need for the conclusion
of the transaction. If you have any question please do not hesitate to ask
me.
