"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

My email reads quite a business-minded proposal, which is very interesting
if you will go through it once again and read through understanding. This is
a business offer of $54.000.000 to enhance your current farm business. I
read through your profile before choosing for an associate. I do hope to
carry out this transfer through. I am a bank lawyer charged with dumped
public with, I work with the Barclays Bank Ghana Limited and also practice a
private law Chamber. This business will offer us a wide range of
opportunities in business and farm world. Your farm will be an exception of
$54.000.000 U.S is invested in it.
I have gone through most of your published profile in farm records of
Ireland and hope that you will be of a very good associate. I will explain
more of the business details at your demand. Go with me, I will direct and
lead you to the success of the fund to your bank account or home.

Dear Sir,
I dont understand your email too well.I am a Farmer in Northern
Ireland and I dont know too much about this kind of stuff.I think its
kind of strange that you have my address and that you are looking for
my help when I dont even know you,and you dont know me.
I think you would be better off looking for someone else as I dont
think I can help you.
Good luck and I hope you find someone
