"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Rory Gallagher,
Thanks for your understanding and your honest towards my previous letter to you. I am very sorry that you was not the rightful beneficiary of this funds (Mr. Mark Rory) a citizen of Scotish and also a Farmer who executed contract with CBN under the construction of Oguta Farm project in August 1999.

We have been in search to get his contact address to inform him that CENTRAL BANK OF NIGERIA (CBN) have approved the payment of his funds. Then I went through the Farmers Directory to see if his contact may be found. So that was how I got your contact address. Do not be embarrance.

However, my brother instead this funds will go to the Federal Government Reservation Account, I suggest if you can agree with me to receive this funds for the mutual benefit of you and I so that you we invest it on Agriculture(Farm produce). Infact, there is no risk in this transaction, it 100% risk free because I will give you the contract awards certificate and also the Contract Completion Certificate that will make you the rightful beneficiary without any questionable character. I am working in CBN and my position is (KTT) KEY TESTED TRANSFER CBN however,I will make sure that I officiate and perfect the transfer of this funds into your bank account accordingly. I want you to decide over it and get back to me urgently without delay.

I need only your telephone number and fax to give you some relevant documents which they will request from you.
I need your bank account information

Waiting to hear from you soonest.
Regards,
Dr. Ernest Kanu

kind of strange that you have my address and that you are looking for
my help when I dont even know you,and you dont know me.
I think you would be better off looking for someone else as I dont
