"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Sir,

Request to Extradite Charles Taylor to UN War Tribunal.

I am Dr. Samuel K. B. Asante, a legal practitioners and an Attorney to former President Charles Taylor of Liberia, West Africa. You may recalled that former President Taylor has been on exile in Nigeria since 11th August 2003 to help end Liberia's civil war and we thank God that peace and democracy has been restored in Liberia.

As you may know, the recent development in Liberia is no more news to you, as you have heard that a general election was held on 8th November 2005 and Mrs. Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf was elected and she has been sworn into office as the 24th President of Liberia on 16th January 2006. On assumption of power, Liberian President-Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has requested Nigeria government, which granted the former President asylum three years ago, to hand over Taylor to the UN Special Tribunal in Sierra Leone to clear him self over allegations of sponsoring war crimes in Sierra Leone. Following the request of the new Liberian President, the Nigerian government has concluded every arrangement to extradite former President Taylor to the International Prosecutor at the UN Special Tribunal sitting at Sierra Leone and because of this ugly development, my client- former President Charles Taylor has informed me of a huge amount of money and more than 400kg of Diamond in his p!
ossession and has directed me to arrange and move the money and the Diamond out of Nigeria for fear of being seized by the International prosecutor, who will be going to Nigeria any moment from this week.

The total amount involved is US$38,000,000.00 and 400kg of Diamond and based on the mandate given to me by my client- former President Taylor to handle and secure the money and the Diamond, I am writing to request for your assistance to enable me move the amount and the Diamond to your account/country for safe keeping, pending the conclusion of his case. He has also directed me to negotiate with you on terms and conditions by which you can assist and in-order not to prolong/delay the matter, I have on-behalf of Mr. Taylor offered you commission of 25% both on the funds and Diamond. Please I don't want you to start condemning the role Mr. Taylor played during his tenure as the President of Liberia since he has paid dearly by leaving his exalted office and country is enough Sacrifice. It mighty interest you to know that the security aspect of this transaction has been covered and you have nothing to loose since we have taken good care of every body li!
kely to be part of this business. The transaction will be perfectly executed without any trace in future. If you are interested, you should quickly contact me through my direct telephone number: +233-24-3256557 or email: skb.asante@lawyer.com

I will stop here, hoping to hearing from you soonest.

Yours faithfully,

Dr. Samuel K. B. Asante
