"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Attn: Eugen Turbutan,

 

I am in receipt of your e-mail, And The content is well noted as we have Started Processing your winning package. Also be informed that we received your (passport photo page) which was scanned to this office for the recongnization of you. You are expected to make the payment for the option you have chosen, which is DHL amounting to £540.00 GBP via western union money transfer, to our account officer in London with the details given to you below.

Address: 20 working high street
London/England

 

After making the payment, you are to send the payment details to me via this same email address, for the record purpose such as,

 

Name of sender:
Address of sender:
Amount sent:
Country from which payment was made
Money transfer control number (M.T.C.N)
The test question and answer if any required
Scan copy of the payment slip.

 
On receipt of these, your winnings will be delivered to your designated address within the next 48 hours, which is two working days after payment has been confirmed.
